EMPLOYMENT INVITATION OF WORKERS BY A LEGAL ENTITY OR AN INVESTEMNT SCHEME FOR STRATEGIC INVESTMENTS OR THE EXECUTION OF PUBLIC WORKS PROJECTS

Law 5275/2026 reformed the framework governing the employment invitation procedure of foreign workers for the provision of dependent employment in Greece.

EMPLOYERS' OBLIGATIONS AND SANCTIONS UNDER THE GREEK IMMIGRATION CODE

Article 23 of the Greek Immigration Code sets out the obligations of both employers and third-country national employees, as well as the sanctions imposed in the event of non-compliance.

With regard to employers who intend to hire or currently employ third-country nationals, the following obligations apply:
